Application Form

Please read all instructions carefully. Although we would like to personally reply to each individual applicant, the large numbers who apply make this impossible. INDIVIDUALS MUST COMPLETE THE ENTIRE APPLICATION PROCEDURE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION. We will NOT contact you to inform you if your application is incomplete. It is your responsibility to complete the application procedure.

Applications are usually accepted between August 1st and December 31st of the year prior to admission. Remember only individuals who have completed the entire APPLICATION PROCESS will be considered.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  • Completed and signed original application, application fee
  • Official transcripts from high school and colleges
  • Results of Aptitude Examination
  • Four references

Application:
Must be an original application. The application must be complete, signed and dated.

Application fee:
A non-refundable application fee of $35.00 must accompany your application. Only checks or money orders will be acceptable. DO NOT SEND CASH. The check should be drawn to the order of Winthrop University Hospital.

The application fee covers processing of your application. It does not guarantee an interview.

Transcripts:
Have your high school and college mail a copy of your transcripts. Official transcripts are required; student copies are not acceptable. GED recipients, please send a copy of certificate and grades.

Aptitude Examination:
PSB-Health Occupations Aptitude Examination (Psychological Services Bureau, Inc.) Call the Program office for the aptitude test date and reservation form.

References Form:
A reference form should be given to each of the four individuals listed on your application. Print your name on the form where is says "Applicant's Name." References forms should be mailed directly to the school from the individual completing the reference.

Personal Interview:
Approximately 25 candidates completing the application procedure and meeting acceptance requirements will be invited for an interview. First consideration will be give to the individuals completing the application procedure the earliest.

Tuition:
Tuition is subject to change each September. Tuition will be quoted at the end of March for the following September.

Books:
Textbook costs have been approximately $700.00 for the past two years. Textbooks are purchased at the beginning of the first year of the program. Several may be required during the second year of study.

Remember that completing the application procedure is your responsibility. You will not be contacted if your file is incomplete. You may call the school office to check on the status of your application. At the end of the selection process each candidate who has completed the application procedure will receive a letter.
