Dr. Dan Barlev, Director of Pediatric Radiology, was given a special award in June of 2010 by the Pediatrics Department, for his continued contributions to resident education and patient care.
Dr. Douglas Katz had a second place finish in the Case of the Day competition at the August 2010 American Society of Emergency Radiology annual meeting, which was held in Seattle, WA. He also was awarded Attending of the Year by the WUH Radiology house staff, which is the fifth time overall that he has been given this honor.
Dr. Dan Barlev was awarded, in 2010, first place for most correct answers to the Society of Pediatric Radiology’s case of the month on-line competition, at the annual meeting of the SPR.

Dr. Katz was the top reviewer in volume for the AJR (American Journal of Roentgenology), the second leading journal in the field, from April 2009-April 2010, and then in January 2010-December 2011. He received a recognition letter from the AJR for “being among a select few that have reviewed 12 or more manuscripts”, and is listed as a Distinguished Reviewer on the journal’s masthead during that time period, including January 2011.
