Breast Imaging
The breast center at Winthrop-University Hospital was created in response to community concerns for a complete and comprehensive program of breast cancer screening, breast cancer diagnosis thru early detection methods and education.
Computed Tomography (CT Scan)
Winthrop Radiology Associates performs state of the art imaging with our Siemens Multidetector CT scanner and the newest software package.
Interventional Neuroradiology
The neuroradiology section is responsible for the diagnostic evaluation and treatment of disorders of the brain, neck and spine. Five fellowship-trained and experienced neuroradiologists staff the neuroradiology section. The neuroradiology section is active in consultation with all medical/surgical services.
Interventional Radiology
The division of Interventional Radiology offers a complete interventional service for both outpatient and inpatient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. All procedures are performed by experienced, fellowship-trained radiologists.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Our magnet is conveniently located in the lower level of the 120 Mineola Blvd office in a beautiful and friendly out-patient setting. It has received American College of Radiology Accreditation (a rigorous process to maintain the best possible image quality and patient safety).
Musculoskeletal Radiology
We offer state of the art musculoskeletal imaging including digital radiography, digital arthrography, multidetector CT scanner, Short Bore open high field strength MRI and high resolution dynamic ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections.
Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear Medicine is a division of Winthrop-University Hospital Department of Radiology, located in the lower level of the Main Pavilion at the main hospital.
Pediatric Radiology
The division of Pediatric Radiology offers high quality imaging for pediatric patients. Our staff is very experienced working with children, attending to their special needs, while safely performing the necessary imaging study.
Radiology and Fluroscopy
Digital fluoroscopy and radiography is the newest technology available for taking x-rays and doing fluoroscopic studies.
Radiation Oncology
The Division of Radiation Oncology is housed in the lower level of the Winthrop Main campus. The outpatient center currently located at 264 Old Country Road, Mineola adds a third linear accelerator to the division.
Ultrasound
Winthrop Radiology Associates performs high quality imaging with our ATL ultrasound scanner. Our ultrasound scanner is conveniently located in the lower level of the 120 Mineola Blvd office in a beautiful and friendly out-patient setting.
